Understand who can open the link
A public link can be opened by anyone who has it, without a cellar invitation. It shares that bottle or tasting note, not access to edit your collection. People can forward the link.
The page includes the item’s basic wine or tasting information. The settings control additional fields; they are not a list of every field on the page.
Create and check a link
- Open the bottle in your cellar, or open one of your tasting notes, and choose Share where available.
- In Public link settings, choose Link expires after: 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or 1 year.
- For a bottle, decide whether to include Tasting history, Personal notes and Exact storage location. Personal notes and location are off by default. For a tasting note, choose whether to include Occasion and Detailed tasting fields.
- Choose Create secure link, then Copy link.
- Open the copied link in a private browser window to check what someone else will see. Review the whole page before sending it.
Change the details or stop sharing
To change the optional fields or expiry, return to the item, choose Edit settings, make the changes and choose Update link. Preview it again.
To disable access, choose Stop sharing and confirm. The old public link should no longer open the shared content. Expiry also ends access automatically; neither action can remove a screenshot or copy someone has already saved.
If the link does not work
Check that it has not expired and that sharing is still enabled on the original item. Copy the current link again to avoid missing characters. If you cannot create or update a link, refresh and check whether the link state actually changed before trying again.
