Change your profile, password and notifications

Use the correct Settings tab, save each change and troubleshoot verification or notification emails that do not arrive.

Update your profile

Open Settings →

  1. Open Settings → Profile.
  2. Change your name, email, location, profile photo or Preferred currency as needed.
  3. Choose Save profile. Check the saved values after the page refreshes.
  4. If you change your email, follow any verification instructions sent to the new address. Keep access to that inbox.

Change a password you know

  1. Open Settings → Security.
  2. Enter Current password, then New password and Confirm new password.
  3. Choose Update password and look for the success message. If a field error appears, correct it before leaving the tab.

Reset a forgotten password

On the sign-in page, use the forgotten-password link, enter the email address for your SmartCellar account and submit the request. Open the reset email and follow its link to choose a new password.

If the email is missing, check junk mail and the address you entered. If a reset link has expired, request a fresh one and use the newest email.

Choose notifications and save

  1. Open Settings → Notifications.
  2. For each notification you want, select the available delivery channels. Options include Ready to drink, Approaching peak, Past peak, Cellar health digest, New features and News and offers.
  3. Choose Cellar health digest frequency: Weekly digest, Monthly digest or Do not send a digest.
  4. Choose Save notifications. Changing a checkbox alone does not save the preference.

If a reminder or email does not arrive

Confirm that you saved the relevant notification and channel, that your email is correct and that the message is not filtered into junk. A drinking-window reminder also needs suitable drinking dates on wines you still hold.

Wine taste preferences have their own tab: Settings → Wine preferences. Save those with Save preferences; saving Profile or Notifications does not save another tab’s changes.
